I'm Henry Pontzer, a designer studying at the University of Washington.

I'm majoring in Visual Communication Design, and my interests extend to UI/UX design and front-end development.
I love making products that are accessible, intuitive, and gorgeous, sparking joy for everyone who uses them.

You've probably seen claims like that a thousand times, though.
Here's what makes me different:

Quality

As an intern at Sandia National Labs, I created a quality management system based on ISO 9001, ensuring work quality through comprehensive documentation, defined responsibilities, and organized resources. I use my design skills to streamline processes and promote organizational excellence.

As president of Alpha Theta Delta, I've made it a focus of my term to make documentation integral to everything we do. Having to re-discover important information just wastes everyone's time — time that could be spent doing great things for our members. By building this practice, I hope to make a lasting impact, enabling the following generations to build upon each other and achieve more.

Leadership

I'm currently president of Alpha Theta Delta, the first professional design fraternity. Leading a team of 10 other executives has taught me the communication, delegation, and project management skills needed to achieve a team's full potential.

These are skills I've brought to my internship at Sandia Labs as well. During my 3+ years there, I've learned to thrive in a corporate environment. I'm well-versed in creating compelling presentations and writing clear, concise emails, and I consistently take the initiative to identify areas where design can make a difference.
